Are you looking for a role that combines your technical knowledge and people skills in a rewarding and rapidly growing organization?  If so, a Sales Engineer career at Vidyo may be for you!  Sales Engineers are the primary technical resource for our Sales team.  They are responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with Sales as the key technical advisors and advocates for our products.  Sales Engineers must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical audiences.

  • Explain features and benefits of Vidyo’s solutions in comparison to competitive products through a clear understanding of product positioning
  • Deliver confident, enthusiastic product presentations to technical and non-technical personnel at customers’ sites, Vidyo offices, trade shows, and conferences
  • Complete RFI/RFP by identifying customer requirements and ensuring customer satisfaction through proactive communication
  • Identify, consolidate, and convey customer needs to appropriate internal departments
  • Provide onsite support and product installation for Proof of Concepts and prototypes in varying environments
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies


  • 5+ years’ experience as a Sales Engineer in the VC industry or supporting network-based products
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills that are adaptable to various audiences and technical levels
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with a personality that is relatable to people from all walks of life
  • Passion for success with an ability to excel in a fast-paced environment while timely delivering objectives
  • Experience in Middleware and Software architectures and solution integration; hands-on knowledge in video and VOIP
  • SOAP, XML and some skills in high-level programming languages preferred
  • Team Player – ability to work well in a close-team environment
  • Knowledge of IP Networking, including routing protocols and SIP, H.323 – in VC Space – A PLUS
  • Some experience in technical support and troubleshoot – A PLUS
  • Experience in technical support and troubleshooting  – A PLUS
  • BS degree in computer science or equivalent – Advanced degree – A PLUS
