Eran Westman

President, CEO and Board Member

Eran is the CEO and President at Vidyo and brings more than 20 years of business leadership experience and a demonstrated track record of guiding sales organizations to the next level of growth. Prior to his appointment to CEO and President, Eran served as Chief Revenue Officer where he lead the sales and support efforts worldwide at Vidyo. Eran also served as EVP of Global Business, President of Asia Pacific and VP of EMEA at Ceragon Networks, the largest independent supplier of wireless backhaul systems. He joined Ceragon as one of the first 15 employees when the company was pre-revenue and built a global organization of over 800 people across Latin America, Asia, Europe, Africa and North America. He led the global GTM strategy and managed teams that supported customers in cloud and telecom service providers, government, healthcare, education, and utilities. He received a Bachelor of Law degree from Bar Ilan University.

Dr. Alex Eleftheriadis, Chief Scientist & Co-Founder

Chief Scientist and co-founder

Alex drives the technical vision and direction for Vidyo and also represents the company on standardization committees and technical advisory boards. He is an award-winning researcher, bringing over 24 years of research experience in video compression and communications to his role at Vidyo. Prior to Vidyo he was an Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering at Columbia University. Alex has more than 100 publications, holds more than 80 patents (several of which are used in Blu-ray Disc, H.264/AVC, and ATSC digital television systems), and has served as the Editor of the MPEG-4 Systems specification, Co-Editor of the H.264 SVC Conformance specification, and Co-Editor of IETF’s RTP Payload Format for SVC.  He is a Member of the Board of IMTC and co-chairs the IMTC Scalable and Simulcast Video Activity Group.

Roi Sasson, Sr. Vice-President, Engineering

Roi has a proven track record of technology execution and delivery with 20 years in the telecom and datacom domains. Before joining Vidyo, Roi led the development of IP-based network access and soft-switching solutions. Prior to that he participated in the founding of a start-up company where he led the software development for a distributed, multi-service access multiplexer.


Sam Waicberg

Senior Vice President, Marketing and Business Development

Sam Waicberg serves as Vidyo’s Senior Vice President of Marketing and Business Development.  He is responsible for the company’s global marketing, go-to-market strategy, strategic growth initiatives, alliances, and ecosystem. Sam has over 20 years of experience in the technology, software and communications industries.  Prior to Vidyo Sam was with GENBAND, initially as Chief Marketing Officer and then as EVP of Business Development and Strategy.  In those roles, Sam successfully launched and implemented GENBAND’s new branding, solutions, and ecosystem initiatives as well as built out a portfolio of strategic relationships and market development initiatives. Sam joined Genband through the acquisition of Iperia where he served as the President & CEO. He also held a variety of senior Sales and Marketing leadership roles with Fluency Voice, Envox Worldwide, Ascendant, Aspect Communications and Oracle.

Amnon Gavish, Sr. Vice-President, Vertical Solutions

Amnon Gavish

Amnon is responsible for Vidyo’s go-to-market in vertical markets such as healthcare, education and business processes. Amnon serves as a director on the board of directors of the American Telemedicine Association and is currently the chairman of its Industry Council. Amnon brings more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunications market. Before joining Vidyo in October 2009, Amnon was the Chief Technology Officer at Keisense Inc., an innovator in the field of textual user interface for Computer Electronics devices. Previously, he served as Vice President of Business Development at RADVISION, where he was responsible for the company’s strategic partnerships and for the definition of the company’s product offering to the service providers market. Amnon was the CEO and co-Founder of Surf Communications, where he was responsible for all company activities, from product inception, through go-to-market strategy, strategic partnerships and sales. Amnon holds a Sc.D. Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology.

Steve Lehman, General Counsel

General Counsel

Steve is a senior corporate counsel with deep expertise leading teams in business deals of major strategic importance. Before joining Vidyo, Steve served as chief corporate counsel for the global financial information, technology and media business of Thomson Reuters and its predecessor Reuters, where he played a pivotal leadership role in a number of major transformational transactions, including the combination of The Thomson Corporation and Reuters Group PLC in 2007-2008. Prior to joining Reuters, Steve was a corporate attorney at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett law firm in New York where his practice included M&A, minority and venture capital investments, joint ventures/strategic alliances, public offerings, credit facilities, and general corporate advice and representation. Previous to that, he served as Law Clerk to the Honorable John S. Martin, Jr., US District Court in the Southern District of New York. Steve received his JD from Columbia University School of Law, and his BA from Dartmouth College in computer science.

Amir Shaked, Sr. Vice-President, Product Marketing

Amir brings a great wealth of experience to Vidyo’s product team and is driving the company’s entire product portfolio, road map and leading product strategy. Prior to joining Vidyo, Amir was responsible for ComQi’s North American ecosystem of partnerships and for channel sales. Amir also served as the CEO of DiskSites, an application acceleration company he sold to Expand Networks, and the founder and CEO of CeLight, where he raised $47M from leading investors including Goldman Sachs. Previously, Amir was President of North America at Accord Video Telecommunications where he was instrumental in achieving a 10X ROI for investors, realized when Polycom acquired Accord for $350M in 2001. Amir has a B.Sc. Summa Cum Laude in math and computer science from Tel Aviv University.

Tami is responsible for leading the strategy and initiatives for leadership development, recruiting, performance management, compensation, and benefits across all Vidyo offices worldwide. Mrs. Lev-Golan has over 15 years of leadership and development experience, with a diverse background in HR, recruiting, and operations management for fast growing high-tech organizations. Prior to joining Vidyo, she led the Global HR, and operations, at NICE-Actimize, the world’s largest and broadest financial crime, risk and compliance solutions provider. Mrs. Lev-Golan holds a BA in Business & Industrial Psychology from Baruch College and an MA in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University.

Joan brings over 20 years of experience leading marketing, product management, sales and business development teams to her role at Vidyo. Her background includes tenures in a variety of industries including telecommunications, enterprise software, video conferencing and network infrastructure with companies ranging from micro-cap to Fortune 50. Prior to joining Vidyo, Joan’s roles included serving as global Vice President of Marketing for Polycom, Vice President of Product Management at Siemens Enterprise Communications and Director of Contact Center Product Management for Avaya.

Yossi Massafi, Sr. Vice-President, Worldwide Sales Operations

Yossi has over 13 years of experience in video technology having worked in numerous roles and capacities including sales, engineering, customer support and professional services. Prior to joining Vidyo, Yossi was General Manager, US Video Division, of Magal Security Systems Ltd., a worldwide provider of hardware and software solutions for the security market. Before his tenure at Magal, Yossi was Director of NiceVision Americas Customer Services at NICE Systems Inc. At NICE, Yossi was part of the core team that launched the company’s video security division in the US and key instrumental individual in securing the first deals for the US region. Yossi holds an Aerospace Engineering degree from the Technion Institute of Technology in Haifa, Israel, and an MBA from Tel Aviv University.

Robb Cason, Vice-President, Channels and Value Added Services

Robb Cason

Vice President, Channels and Value Added Services

Robb brings over 25 years of Marketing and Sales experience and is a leader in creating programs for driving adoption of conferencing solutions. Before joining Vidyo, Cason served as Vice President of Sales at Voice Assist and served as Vice President of Collaboration at InterCall where he was responsible for delivery of Unified Communication products, training, and adoption services into Fortune 100 companies. Prior to InterCall, he was the Founder/CEO of Corvent, specializing in adoption services for conferencing vendors which quickly became the vendor of choice amongst partners, resellers and end users using web conferencing or implementing unified communications solutions. He also led a team at Microsoft/Placeware where he enabled strategic partners MCI, British Telecom, and Intercall to achieve greater than 100 percent year-over-year growth in Live Meeting revenue by “farming” their accounts through innovative adoption programs. Cason holds a BS in Business from Oregon State University and lives with his family in Portland, OR.


Eitan Livne

Eitan has more than 20 years of sales leadership experience throughout Asia with over 12 years of video conferencing experience in APAC with Avaya and Radvision. Eitan joined Vidyo from Avaya where he served as General Manager of the company’s video business in APAC, was General Manager for APAC at Radvision and President for Asia Pacific at ECI Telecom. He holds a B.Sc. degree in Exact Sciences from Tel Aviv University.  Eitan has lived in Asia for over 20 years, speaks English, Japanese, and Hebrew and is based out of Hong Kong.

Eric Le Guiniec, Vice-President & General Manager, EMEA

Eric has a proven track record working with major enterprise accounts, service providers, system integrators, and telecom equipment suppliers. He joins from Arel where he was Vice President EMEA, and from First Virtual Communications (FVC) where he served as Vice President EMEA Sales. He has also spearheaded the sales operation in France at Tekelec Europe for the company’s service provider products. Eric has an MS, Sales and Marketing from Universite de Valenciennes et du Hainaut-Cambresis, and a BS in Computer Science from Universite Paris X Nanterre.

Dan Hochberg, Vice-President & General Manager, Worldwide Service Provider Business

Dan has over 17 years of experience in senior management positions, 10 with companies centered around video technologies in general and video conferencing in particular. Prior to joining Vidyo, Dan held a number of key positions with DVTEL, a leader in the video surveillance market, including VP of Business Development and Global Sales and VP of Product and Marketing. Dan was the founder and an Executive VP of Business Development at Axxana, a vendor in the data protection and business continuity field. He also worked with RADVISION as the General Manager for its overall APAC operations and as VP of Product, Marketing and RoW Sales for its technology business unit. Dan received his BA in Economics and Management from Tel Aviv University in Israel and Masters in Business from Keio University in Tokyo, Japan.

Chris brings over 19 years of senior management experience with leading global providers of technology, marketing and process management solutions. Prior to joining Vidyo, Chris was Senior VP of Business Development at Intralinks, Inc., where he was responsible for building a global network of strategic business partners. Chris was also the Eastern Regional Sales Manager at Kontiki, a venture-funded leader in business and broadcast video on-demand solutions for Fortune 1000 companies. Prior to Kontiki, he was President and CEO of Summitworks Technologies, Inc., a provider of project-based consulting and outsourced IT solutions. Chris received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Catholic University in Washington, D.C.

Pedro Cano, Vice President, Sales - Latin America and Caribbean

Pedro joined Vidyo from Aspect Software where he served as VP Hispanic South America and the Caribbean. He has a strong track record for developing and growing markets and sales leadership experience helping customers leverage software platforms across contact centers.  Pedro held sales, product management and sales engineering positions at Nortel, Cisco, and Bay Networks. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering from the Universidad de Boyacá and a Specialist title in International Business Management from Universidad del Rosario. Pedro speaks Spanish, English and Portuguese and will be based out of Colombia.

Chairman and co-founder

Avery brings more than thirty years of technology expertise to his leadership role at Vidyo. Avery has founded and guided technology startups, managed publicly traded corporations and led mergers, acquisitions and initial public offerings for several companies during the past 30 years. He was Founder and CEO of CompuCom where his strategic direction and vision led the company to become a more than $1Billion publicly-traded company. In addition to Vidyo, he is currently the executive chairman of the boards of AeroScout, WaveBender and Phynomics, and a board member of SolarEdge.

Ofer Shapiro

Vice Chairman and Co-Founder

Ofer Shapiro, Vidyo co-founder and Vice Chairman of the Board, has been an innovative force at the heart of major architectural transformations in the video conferencing industry since 1996. Previously, Ofer served as CEO at Vidyo for ten years. He was integrally involved in the development of the H.323 specification and the first IP based multi-point control unit architecture and gatekeepers, developed the use of H.264 Scalable Video Coding (SVC) for video conferencing, and led the development of a new media relay based architecture- the VidyoRouter. Ofer is a named inventor on more than 50 issued patents and 27 pending patent families. He was named a World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer, and received the Wall Street Journal Innovation Award for Disruption in the category of Internet, Networking and Broadband.

Joshua co-founded Rho Ventures in 1981. Prior to 1981, he was an investment banker at Salomon Brothers in New York. He received an MBA from the Harvard Business School, and a BSc. in electrical engineering from the Israel Institute of Technology (Technion). His current and recent board seats include: GenVec, Diversa, Sionex, Yantra, Enerkem, Inotek and WiNetworks.

Al Schuele

Al joined Sevin Rosen Funds in 2000. A high-tech industry veteran of more than 30 years, Al has extensive semiconductor experience, including work in Asia. He now leads the firm’s activities in Austin and focuses on opportunities in the semiconductor, telecommunications, energy-technology and nanotechnology sectors.

Doug Carlisle

Doug joined Menlo Ventures in 1982. Prior to Menlo Ventures, he worked as a design engineer at ROLM Corporation. At Menlo, Doug focuses primarily on information technology companies. Doug is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley (B.S. in Electrical Engineering), Stanford University Graduate School of Business (M.B.A.), and Stanford University Law School (J.D.).

Timothy L. Krongard

Tim joined QuestMark at its founding in 1998 as the Chief Financial Officer. He currently serves on the boards of Enpirion, Overture Networks, RF Code, and Thrift Recycling Management. In the past, he served on the boards of NetBotz (acquired by American Power Conversion), RealLifeHR (acquired by Hewitt Associates), SeniorHealth and Engineous Software (acquired by Dassault Systems).

Ken Sawyer

Ken is a managing director and founder of Saints. Saints is a venture capital and private equity firm founded in 2000 and is the largest global direct secondary firm in the world. Ken focuses on the software and internet industries and also serves on the boards of Alliance Consulting, Acsis, Coloredge, KXEN, Laureate Pharmaceuticals and on the non-profit board of the Hope Street Group. He has previously been selected as a member of the Forbes Midas list for several years, where he was recognized as one of the top 100 investors in venture capital globally. Ken received a BS in Engineering at Stanford University and an MBA from the Graduate School of Business at Stanford.

Michael Patsalos-Fox

Michael Patsalos-Fox, CEO of Stroz Friedberg, is based in the firm’s New York headquarters where he is responsible for global operations and growth strategies.  Michael is a former chairman of the Americas for McKinsey where he served as a senior partner on McKinsey’s operating committee for nine years and held a seat on the firm’s board for twelve years. Mr. Patsalos-Fox also sits on the boards of Quid.com, Vidyo, Cloudpay, Channelinsight, NGData, and Cognizant. He began his career with Fujitsu Australia Limited. Mr. Patsalos-Fox holds a B.Sc. in computer science and pure mathematics from Sydney University in Australia and received his MBA with distinction from International Institute of Management Development in Lausanne, Switzerland.
