Vidyo and its Partners Share Telehealth Use Cases and New Products Centered Around Driving Continuity of Care Across Care Settings and Improving Patient Outcomes
Las Vegas – March 5, 2018 – Vidyo, Inc., the leader in embedded video technology, today announced it will exhibit and host demonstrations at HIMSS 2018, being held March 5-9 in Las Vegas. The company’s presence at HIMSS, along with key partners including Epic, ViTel Net, HP and Honeywell Healthcare, will center around telemedicine trends and use cases.

At the Interoperability Showcase, Wendy Deibert, VP of Clinical Solutions at Vidyo, together with Epic, ViTel Net, and others will deliver connected Telestroke/Ambulatory demonstrations featuring expert insights on Telehealth: Improving Stroke Systems of Care in Rural and Underserved Areas.

At the HP booth theater, Dr. Sohail R. Shah, attending surgeon at Texas Children’s Hospital, will present his experience using Vidyo-powered telemedicine during post-operative consults directly with patients at home. He will share how telemedicine impacts his workflow and the patient interaction and will also explain the patient experience and feedback so far with postoperative teleconsults. Additionally, he will share insights for future applications of telemedicine in his practice as a surgeon. He will present on Tuesday, March 6 at 2:15 pm PT and 4:45 pm PT at booth #2837.

Honeywell Life Care Solutions has partnered with Vidyo to provide high-quality visual communication within its LifeStream telehealth platform. Using the vidyo.io communications platform-as-a-service (CPaaS), Honeywell Life Care Solutions can offer integrated video consultations as a part of its remote patient monitoring solution. The technology facilitates a high-quality patient experience even in low bandwidth scenarios and rural environments.
