Apr 29, 2018

Planned eICU Product Will Enable Clinicians to Remotely Monitor and Assess a Patient’s Condition

Hackensack, NJ and Herndon, VA – April 29, 2018 – Vidyo, Inc., the leader in embedded video technology, and Iron Bow Technologies, an information technology solutions provider to healthcare, government and commercial markets and a Vidyo reseller, today announced that the companies intend to expand their relationship to deliver a new eICU patient monitoring device. This planned Vidyo-branded product will be manufactured by Iron Bow exclusively for a healthcare setting. With solid state, fanless design to minimize sound disturbance, the product will be a fully integrated video consultation device designed to perform in eICU environments and serve as the state-of-the-art next-generation model for patient monitoring. The prototyped design will be showcased in both Vidyo’s booth (#1612) and Iron Bow’s booth (#1016) at this week’s ATA Annual Conference & Expo in Chicago.

“Telehealth services continue to achieve great outcomes and high patient satisfaction and Vidyo is committed to staying on the cutting edge of helping healthcare providers and patients connect regardless of physical location,” said Michael Patsalos-Fox, CEO Vidyo. “Iron Bow’s reputation for high quality devices is well known, and through a new relationship with Iron Bow we will be able to continue to offer our customers access to the highest levels of video quality and user experience.”

The planned product will include Vidyo’s proprietary end-point software and be fully optimized for VidyoCloud as well as work with Vidyo on-premises systems. Customers will be able to leverage all of the benefits of the VidyoCloud platform within an eICU environment. The new device is also expected to offer users:

● A fully integrated, turnkey healthcare solution allowing for ease of integration into workflows
● A superior user experience
● The ability to easily expand current installations or upgrade units without needing to replace video infrastructure

“As more people seek out telehealth services, the technology that powers them must also continue to advance,” said Rene LaVigne, President and CEO Iron Bow. “Vidyo simply provides the highest-quality video consultation services available and we are excited to partner with them to bring their next generation of eICU products to clinicians and patients alike.”

The new device is expected to be released and generally available in the second half of 2018. To learn more stop by either Vidyo’s booth #1612 or Iron Bow’s booth #1016 at ATA this week to see a demo of the prototype.
