What's new in this release?

  • General Availability of Native WebRTC
  • Enghouse Vidyo is happy to announce that Native WebRTC is now available for all customers.
  • This release is compatible with both VidyoConnect for Native WebRTC and VidyoClient JavaScript SDK for WebRTC.
  • Royalty-free codec support
  • VidyoPortal and VidyoRouter version 22.1.1 includes support for royalty-free codec applications. This specifically includes:
  • VidyoConnect for Desktop 22.1.0 and later.
  • VidyoClient 22.1.0 and later.
  • This feature allows for seamless switching between H.264 and VP9 codecs dynamically, thereby preserving backwards compatibility for older versions of VidyoConnect and VidyoClient.
  • VP9 gets automatically set up when you upgrade to this version.
  • Minimum endpoint version
  • The minimum endpoint version feature allows Administrators to reject endpoints based on the following criteria:
  • ApplicationName
  • EndpointType
  • This feature can be configured at a System or Tenant level via REST APIs.
  • Vidyo Compatibility Matrix updates
  • We've made some significant updates to the Vidyo Compatibility Matrix in accordance with this release of the VidyoPortal.
  • Resolved issues
  • In this release, we've addressed several issues to improve usability and security.
  • System updates
  • For added security and stability, updates for multiple third-party packages and libraries are included as part of this release.
