Version 19.4.1

What's new in this release?

  • View the three latest active speakers
  • In this release, the names of the three latest active speakers will continually be listed in the upper-left corner of the VidyoConnect desktop application.
  • As always, any active speaker using a camera will continue to show in a tile surrounded by a blue highlight.
  • To view the speakers:
  • Simply look in the upper-left corner of the VidyoConnect application to see the name of the current active speaker.
  • Click the Open button to view the other two most recent active speakers.
  • You can click and drag the active speaker pop-up and move it anywhere in the VidyoConnect conference area.
  • Change Your Default Tab Selection Upon Application Launch
  • You can now select which tab opens when the VidyoConnect desktop application launches.
  • Currently, the Rooms tab displays by default, but you can now switch your default tab to the Calendar, Contacts, or Dial Out tab instead.
  • Click the Settings button in the upper-right corner of the page. Then, from the General tab select one of the tab options as your default tab from the drop down.
  • A System admin using a .msi deployment can specify the default tab by passing the DEFAULTTAB argument with one of the values in the following list:
  • [Meetings|Contacts|Rooms|Dialout]. Once an admin specifies the default tab, a user will not be able to change it.
  • With this release, any .msi argument passed will be stored under HKLM.
  • Dial-in to VidyoConnect calls using a legacy device
  • Legacy device users (H.323 and SIP endpoints) running VidyoGateway versions 4.2 and 3.5.2 can now dial direct and connect successfully to VidyoConnect endpoints.
  • Important bug fixes
  • In this release, we've addressed some important issues to improve usability and reliability.
  • System updates
  • For added security and stability, updates for multiple third-party packages and libraries are included as part of this release.

The following table lists the issues we have resolved in VidyoConnect for Desktop version 19.4.1.

VidyoConnect for Desktop version 19.4.1 - resolved issues

Key

Summary

NEP-12835

The Marshall CV-610-U3 camera will work as expected (e.g., each PTZ click will move correctly/incrementally to pan, tilt, and zoom in version 19.4.1). Previously, each incremental click would make the camera move from one extreme location to another. Customers using 19.3.1 need to upgrade to 19.4.1 to fix this issue.

NEP-12119

Enghouse Vidyo fixed an issue so now direct calls between Tenants (P2P) work correctly.
