Version 21.6.2—December 2021

What's new in this release?

  • Capture and save images during VidyoConnect calls with Epic CAL
  • Version 21.6.2 enables auto-provisioned healthcare providers using the Epic CAL integration to capture a snapshot of a patient’s video or of a patient’s shared content during a VidyoConnect video consultation, and then save that captured image to a patient’s chart in the Epic ERP.
  • The healthcare provider can add a description of each captured image before uploading it.

  • For information about how to use this feature, see the “Capturing Images of Participants' Video and Shared Content When Using Epic” section of the Using VidyoConnect: About Each Feature article.
  • This feature is available starting with VidyoPortal version 21.5.0 and is disabled by default. To enable and use this feature:
  • Your Tenant Admin must enable it on the Epic Integrations page in the Tenant Admin portal. For information about how to do this, refer to version 21.5.0 of the VidyoPortal and VidyoRouter Administrator Guide.
  • Your organization must use the Vidyo and Epic CAL integration. For information about how to configure the integration, refer to the Vidyo and Epic Integration with VidyoConnect Context-Aware Linking (CAL) article. For compatibility information, refer to the Epic Compatibility with Vidyo Infrastructure article.
  • Your organization must have access to Epic’s App Orchard marketplace. For information about how to obtain access, contact your administrator.
  • Note:Due to portal changes required for the Epic Media Capturing feature, you will be unable to join a call using a link with VidyoConnect desktop versions earlier than version 21.6.2 if the link uses the new launchToken parameter. Please contact your administrator if you have trouble using this feature after you update to 21.6.2.
