Version 21.2.0—June 2021

What's new in this release?

  • Ability to pin a participant
  • You can now pin a participant during a conference to ensure that you are always able to see that participant, even when they are not the active speaker.
  • To pin a participant, simply click the Pin icon in the bottom-left corner of that participant's tile.

  • Easier selection of input and output devices
  • This release includes several enhancements that enable you to select, switch, and test your camera, microphone, and speaker devices more easily. For example:
  • Whether you’re on the beauty screen or you’re in a call, a small arrow now appears near each device icon so you can view a pop-up of the available devices, clearly see which device is currently being used, and select or switch your devices without having to go into Settings.
  • The beauty screen now also allows you to test your mic and speaker before joining a call: a bar shows the noise level of your mic and a “Test sound” button sends a sound to your speaker.

  • New way to accept the User Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy
  • Prior to this release, you had to select checkboxes to agree to the Vidyo User Terms and Conditions and the Vidyo Privacy Policy before you could join your call. Now, as indicated by a message on the beauty screen (shown above), you indicate that you accept the User Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy by simply clicking the Join button.
  • Update to VidyoClient version 21.2.1
  • This release now supports version 21.2.1 of the VidyoClient API, thereby providing you with our newest and most recently updated APIs.
