Version 23.4.0—March 2024

What's new in this release?

  • Improved experience for Epic CAL calls using InviteID in ExtData
  • We have updated the user experience for the case where participants are invited to calls using InviteID.
  • If InviteID is used to invite one or more participants to the call the desktop app will display a notification for the ongoing invite and information about the endpoints being invited.
  • The notification displayed up to three participants by name. If there are more than three participants, the notification will condense the information as shown below.

  • If the endpoint joins the call successfully, the interface will update to reflect the information.
  • If an endpoint doesn’t join the call successfully for 65 seconds, the interface will update to give the user the option to re-initiate the journey.
  • Note

Since InviteID calls initiate outside of the WebRTC app, the user will not be able to simply initiate a redial within the call. The user will have to drop out of the call and re-initiate the call. The notifications reflect these steps in the user journey.

  • Once the user hits end call, the app detects this, and presents the user with the option to restart the call.
