Further information on the Apple notification and Apple Silicon
Apple introduced a new generation of Mac devices with their in-house Apple Silicon chipset labeled the M chip (M1, M2, and so on) in 2020.
macOS currently supports the Apple M chipset and the previous Intel-based chipset. This will change in 2026 with the new macOS 27 that will only support Apple Silicon (based on current information published by Apple). macOS 27 will also be the last version of macOS that will support Rosetta, Appleās translation software, to run Intel-based applications on Apple Silicon Macs (based on current information published by Apple).
You can read more about this on the Apple website here.
The notification was introduced in macOS 26.4 (March 2026) to steer developers away from producing Intel-based installers and applications.
What actions can I take?
There is no corrective action needed.
Vidyo's next steps
Vidyo is actively developing native Apple Silicon support for VidyoConnect Desktop. We will target the next major VidyoConnect for Desktop release to include native Apple Silicon compatibility.
