What's new in this release?

  • Closed captioning (CC)
  • VidyoRooms (hardware and software) now support closed captioning.
  • The CC button is usable with a remote, mouse, or the keyboard by using the shortcut Ctrl + Shift + C.
  • You can configure the size and text color using the admin panel.
  • Please refer to the admin guide section here to learn more.
  • You need the following components to be able to use this feature:
  • VidyoPortal Version 24.1.0 or later
  • VidyoRouter Version 24.1.0 or later
  • VidyoGateway Version 24.1.0 or later
  • VidyoEvent Server
  • Remote enablement of closed captioning
  • This version of VidyoRooms also allows for remotely controlling the closed captioning from a supported endpoint.
  • Moderators from a supported Desktop or WebRTC endpoint (versions 25.1.0 or later) can turn closed captioning on or off for a VidyoRoom.

  • You need the following components to be able to use this feature:
  • VidyoPortal Version 24.1.0 or later
  • VidyoRouter Version 24.1.0 or later
  • VidyoGateway Version 24.1.0 or later

    This feature is supported in cloud environments.
  • RS-232 integration with LG and Samsung TVs for VidyoRoom Hardware Rooms.
  • We’ve extended our support for direct RS-232 TV integrations to hardware rooms.
  • This feature was released on VidyoRooms SEs in December 2024 as part of our 24.3.0 release. You can read more about it here.
  • This feature allows the TV to automatically switch to the VidyoRoom when a call is received, and then switch back to the previous content after the call, without user interaction.

  • Please refer to the RS232 integration for Hardware Rooms section in the VidyoConnect Room and VidyoRoom Administrator Guide to learn how to configure the VidyoRoom to use this feature.
  • Windows 11 Support for VidyoRoom SE
  • Windows 11 is now officially a supported operating system for VidyoRoom SE.
  • Upgrade to VidyoClient SDK 25.1.0
  • We’re using our latest VidyoClient SDK 25.1.0 for this version of VidyoRoom ensuring the latest in performance and security upgrades.
