Cindy Roleff, MS, BSN, RN-BC, Telehealth Program Development Manager for AFHCAN
Garret Spargo, Director of Product Development for the Telehealth Department, ANTHC
Shelby Blades, Telehealth Systems Support Manager, ANTHC
Today, Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC) provides over 250 video visits per month across 30 different specialties, reaching patients at 200 extremely remote locations. The ANTHC Palliative Care Clinic is a specialty program that exemplifies the innovative ways that video visits can be leveraged to deliver patient care across Alaska. This presentation will provide an overview of how a multidisciplinary Palliative Care team has optimized video teleconferencing to provide end-of-life and supportive care to a difficult to reach patient population. Modalities that will be shared in this session include: scheduled virtual village clinic visits, direct to patient home visits, care conferencing with family members/providers/caregivers, discharge planning, and Project ECHO. The session will highlight the varying workflows, processes and equipment used for these modalities as well as how the Vidyo software and hardware infrastructure was rolled out across the state.
Technical Track Implementing a Virtual Care Center
Wendy Deibert, EMBA, BSN, RN, VP Clinical Solutions, Vidyo
Nicholas Reid, SVP Product Management, Vidyo
As telehealth programs grow and expand across the care continuum, organic synergies evolve. Consider patient intake/triage/routing, licensing/credentialing/privileging, IT platforms/support, and clinical staffing/support, to name a few. Whether your program is large or small, these synergies exist and can be leveraged to increase efficiency and reduce costs. A virtual care center is something that all health systems should consider to centralize key functions, increase efficiency and lower costs. In this session, learn about the value that a virtual care center can offer and learn how to leverage the Vidyo solution to quickly implement and drive value.
